Library description

INMOS transputers and peripherals Older supercomputing chips, may still exists for example in CERN Switzerland.

The name of the transputer origins from the words: transputer=transistor+computer.

Easily build processor arrays using connected links and concurrent programming lanquage Occam.

The power of computing is linearly dependent of the amount of transputers in network.

Transputers use PLL technique to multply the 5 Mhz operating clock frequency to 17.5, 20, 25, 30 Mhz.

Processor communication and operation is asynchronous in nature. The manufacturing company was English INMOS, afterwards it was

SGS-Thomson Microelectronics and INMOS fusion.

Nowadays SGS-Thomson Microelectronics is ST-Microelectronics. INMOS does not exist anymore.

It is possible that STC101 and STC104 are produced still by ST-Microelectronics. The pad diameters and drill size in this library in PGA packages are for pin grid connectors mounted

directly on the the surface of the TRAMs or HTRAMs The sources of the information I have used is published by Inmos Ltd./SGS-Thomson:
